YOU might probably recognise him as the rugged plane crash survivor Jin on the award-winning television series Lost, but Daniel Dae Kim has since carved himself into a burlier role post-Lost in the remake of the classic police drama, Hawaii Five-O.

Born in Busan, South Korea, and raised in New York and Pennsylvania, the Korean-American actor discovered acting while he was a student at Haverford College.

After briefly considering a career as a lawyer, Kim decided to pursue his true passion in theatre.

Star of the hit TV series “Lost” on ABC, Daniel Dae Kim visited Korea as a cultural ambassador for the U.S. Pavilion at the Yeosu Expo. Even though he claims to speak Korean poorly, Kim greeted his fans with a fluent accent, unlike the character he portrayed in the TV series that ran from 2004 to 2010.

Earlier this year, Phillies’ pitcher Shane Victorino made an appearance on Hawaii Five-O and made a new friend on the set with Daniel Dae Kim. Hawaii Five-O and Lost star Daniel grew up in the Easton, PA area and has been a lifelong Phillies fans. Shane paid back Daniel’s hospitality with his recent visit to a Philadelphia Phillies game. The actor threw out the first pitch before the Phillies vs Mets game. He was even given a special jersey with the number 50, a nod to the TV show.

‘Lost’s’ Yunjin Kim to Star in ABC’s Summer Series ‘Mistresses’

Yunjin Kim is returning to ABC.

The former Lost actress has been tapped to star in the network’s summer soap Mistresses, ABC announced late Friday.

The project, a remake of the 2008-10 British series of the same name, is described as a provocative thrilling drama that finds four women with scandalous romantic lives caught in storms of excitement and self-discovery, secrecy and betrayal, and at the mercy of the complex relationships they’ve created.

Kim will play Karen, one of the four women, alongside the previously cast Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan.
