Monthly craft kits bring parents, kids together

The pile of craft supplies was there for more than a month. Jessica Kim came home from work one night and stared at it. She had intended to create a project about flowers to do with her 4-year-old daughter. But at that moment, she couldn’t remember what she planned to use the individual items for or even the names of the parts of a flower.

Where to begin?

From that moment last June came inspiration. It took only two months for Kim to go from being at a loss to launching The BabbaBox, a monthly service that delivers a package of arts and crafts supplies, as well as a book and a product to help the child explore her world, all connected to a particular topic.
